When I went to go see this movie during the night of its first showing Friday at 12 AM, I didn't know what to expect. I thought that this movie was just going to show how wolverine was made and how he ended up joining the X-Men. That was basically the raw story-line only. This movie went to great detail about where Logan was born, how he was raised and how he became part of the military project that turned him into the indestructible Wolverine. This movie had many plot twists from beginning to end like; Logan’s brother is actually Sabertooth (Victor), he actually agreed to have the Adamentium put into his body in a military experiment, how Striker was using the mutants he captured to create the Ultimate Fighting weapon, Weapon 11.
At the beginning film Logan was seen as a frail, young boy in bed that had some type of illness. He thought he was an only child too. Until, the night when his real father came to the home of his foster parents house and killed his foster father. That was when Logan discovered that he and Victor were brothers. They both had the ability of invulnerability to harm and they aged a lot slower than normal humans. This threw the brothers into a series of wars, the civil war, WW I, WW II, and even Vietnam. They fought in all these wars received countless injuries in battle only to have them heal rapidly in a matter of seconds.
When the present day military found out about Logan and his brother they wanted to exploit his powers by putting the brothers on a military team lead by Colonel Striker. Colonel striker went to Africa with his team in search of Adamentium, a very rare space metal that is practically indestructible. The team was lead to a small village said to have found the Adamentium meteor that was when Striker would have needlessly killed individuals to get what he wanted most. That was where Logan had enough and he left the Military for good. But as time passed and he thought he would never have to fight again Victor came back and ruined his life that he worked so hard to make real. This lead to Logan’s need for power and Striker said he would give it to him. So Logan agreed to the painful process of having liquid Adamentium molded to his bones to make him more powerful and indestructible. Logan then became the Wolverine we all know with the three Adamentium blades that come out of his fists.
Striker only agreed to let Logan go through this painful operation for data on his project, Weapon 11. Weapon 11 was an individual who was infused with all of the powers of other captured mutants and would obey any order from striker. He was to be the Ultimate Fighting weapon crafted for military usage. Weapon 11 was eventually created but was defeated by Logan and his brother Victor. That was one of the most action packed parts of the movie. Sadly thoughat Striker’s hand Logan loses his memories and that is why in the previous X-Men movies he does not know anything about his past.
Overall though I would say this movie was packed with excitement and plot twists, these were only a few from the movie there were so many more. I vote this as a MUST SEE MOVIE, if you have not seen it yet you had better go see it. Because I think that your view of Wolverine will have changed dramatically.

What I will be doing in ten years…
I am going to set this paper up a little differently than how you want me to write it. I am going to write down what I want to have accomplished in increments of two or more years leading up to ten years. I could not think of a better way to explain what direction my life will be heading in, so I decided that I will make a step-by-step plan for the next ten years. The first step toward my goal or career will take place this spring at TCC.
What I want to accomplish in the next two years is to receive my associate’s degree for the basic classes in science, math, and English that I will be taking at TCC. I may even take summer classes to get this part of my plan done faster. After I receive my associate’s degree I will transfer to a university to continue my education. I wish to continue my degree in Architectural Design. This will be the first, two-year, step in my plan.
Then next step will be after I receive my Bachelor’s in Architectural Design I will then keep on pursing my education at the university to receive my Master’s degree, because a Bachelor’s degree isn’t worth what it used to be anymore. Then the hard part comes along, where will I work and what company will hire me? Trying to find a career is much harder. This will be the next step in my plan taking approximately four years, six years in all.
What I really see myself doing in ten years belongs in this next step. After school is out of the way and I have been working with a fine Architectural firm for about four years. I see myself happily living with my girlfriend Ashley and make enough money to support us in an apartment and have some fun tickets for other things after taxes of course. I won’t be married yet and I don’t plan to be, I want to make sure that I am economically feasible before I decide on the decision to start a family. I will be a manager of some sort of department at the Architectural firm, and I will be happy because I am doing what I have always wanted to do since high school, work with a team to make building plans for homes, office buildings, and recreation facilities.
I love designing and building and if I could see my designs in buildings or parts of building being used frequently, I could go around telling people, “I helped build that beautiful building there.” Who knows I might even be able to design my plan for my house after a few years of working in the Architectural business, with a few more promotions too, along the way. The house I help build will be the house where I will finally be able to start my own family. These will be my accomplishments in more than ten years, probably twelve or thirteen instead. Well the clock is ticking, and the plan is already in motion. So wish me luck!

After school is out of the way and I have found a job with an architectural firm for four years, I see myself happily living with my girlfriend Ashley. I see myself as a department manager of some sort at the architectural firm and I hope to be happy with my work. Gasparo, Success or Failure?
When I came to Tidewater Community College I thought that English 111 was just going to be a regular, old, boring class. I thought all we were going to do is write, write and write some more. Well we did write a lot but it was worth it. The essays that we were assigned in Mr. Gasparo's English 111 class were very educational. We had to write many pieces of work, with many rhetorical appeals included within them. When the class first started back in January we had to write a diagnostic essay, somewhere in the middle we wrote a rhetorical analysis essay, and finally we wrote my favorite the argument essay.
The Diagnostic essay was like an introductory essay where we could choose whatever topic we wanted to talk about. It was an assignment to get the class used to turning in essays through their TCC e-mail accounts. Also Mr. Gasparo was available in the Writing Center every Thursday from 12 to 7 in case any students had any questions about any paper. If your schedule does not allow you to be on campus at that time or if you want to know earlier on during the week, just e-mail him. He will gladly answer any questions you may have on a particular assignment.
The Rhetorical Analysis essay was way harder than the first but still possible; basically we had to use the three rhetorical appeals of Ethos, Logos, and Pathos twice somewhere in our essay. The essay also had to be written about someone in your life that you look up to or helps you. I chose to write about my friends and family but some of my other class mates wrote about movie stars, rap stars, etc. This was my least favorite assignment because I couldn’t figure out where to use the rhetorical appeals best. But somehow I pulled through and got the paper in on time.
Finally we wrote the Argument Essay, this essay took us more than half of the sixteen week semester because not only did we have to write at least a four-page paper, but we also had to present our argument to the class in the form of a PowerPoint. This paper was my favorite not only because it gave me a challenge as a writer but because it really tested us on our writing skills that we had learned throughout the semester. Everything we learned from Mr. Gasparo’s lessons and videos prepared us to write and present this paper. He showed our class how not to stay on topic and where to put images in our essays to flow with the paper. This argument essay took a really long time to get all the research together. I would say it took me about a month to plan out and get all of my need resources to write it. Overall Mr. Gasparo’s boring lessons did show us what kind of mistakes to avoid when writing our papers. Also, for future a student, a good way to succeed is not to procrastinate on doing the assignments you are given. Try to stay ahead of the game!
Overall Mr. Gasparo I would give your teaching style a B-, because in the beginning you did not clarify when some assignments were due and that caused a lot of confusion for your students. It would be more helpful if you gave the class reminders when projects were due in class like you started to do near the end of the spring semester. Also some of the videos that you showed in class were not completely understood by your students; let’s say they were ahead of our time. I really liked how you graded our papers without holding back though, at first I did not like how you criticized my papers, but then I learned that good criticism is what’s needed to make good papers. Overall you are a great teacher so I hope you continue teaching at TCC. So in my eyes you are a success!
